I’ve spoken about this type of thing constantly, there were yet another set of non-fentanyl opioids appearing in heroin, reported in the UK and Canada (Toronto) over a year ago.

I said I wouldn’t be surprised if those trends pop up in the US, and eventually contaminate non-opioid drug supplies the same way fentanyl has. Well, according to @narcan_nate, we are seeing similar trends. Is nobody listening or does nobody care? How many more warnings do we need?

Not to say that fentanyl test strips are useless, but it’s becoming increasingly challenging to use available harm reduction tools that are accessible to/for the general public to detect these increasingly problematic contaminants.

We need to change drug laws ASAP.
