I get a lot of questions about things like purity tests and separation kits and other unnecessarily complicated “at home” testing resources. The separation kits are excruciatingly unpleasant to use. The only thing it helps determine with greater certainty is how many cuts a substance has. It’s not great at identifying which cuts, because you still have to rely on reagent tests on each “separated” sample result, and you only get 3 tests, so if you experience no reactions or unclear reactions with the 3 reagents you chose to use you have to spend another hour waiting for another test of the same substance to develop. Mmm ammonia. Or, you can try this bizarre measuring technique and reading through a giant manual of numbers that may or may not match your results. It’s about as boring and tedious as reading a bunch of material safety data sheets and detecting the substance by melting point. Not to mention with the number of NPS out there, good fucking luck identifying something that hasn’t been researched! Purity tests are 100% illegal in the US and not reliable. I’m about 99% sure anything labeled “cocaine cuts kit” is just Mandelin repackaged and any reagent labeled “fentanyl test kit” is just Marquis repackaged. Also the Scott reagent for cocaine can give a lot of false positives. If you’re looking for a high level of specificity because you’re really concerned about what’s in the drug, send it to DrugsData.org. If you can’t wait 2 weeks before trying your drugs–not my problem. Wasting all this time and money on various home tests won’t give you any more peace of mind than the standard reagents and some fentanyl test strips. If the reagent results are not clear & you can’t wait, take a smaller amount of the drug and wait. Clearly you’re hell-bent on doing some drug. It’s not my job to weigh in on your choices. Pls don’t waste my time. I’m not gonna play Bill Nye the Science guy in my free time further analyzing shitty drugs I can’t provide more info on. Like that girl whose 2grams of “MDMA” was literally all meth. I told her it was meth in 2 seconds and she still wanted more tests. Girl, it’s meth. Just take significantly less of it or not at all.
