Also, consider the set and setting of your alcohol use. You likely have more control over your mood and behavior than you think, it’s just the way people (especially Americans/binge-drinkers) generally consume alcohol can be inconsistent and/or chaotic. Even some people’s genes, gender, body mass, kidney function, etc. cause them to metabolize alcohol differently.

For example, when I only drank straight tequila on a full stomach–a couple of shots in the beginning of the night and then be done with it, people couldn’t even “tell” I was drunk, and would think I wasn’t drinking. I was buzzed, and usually I’d have to drive within 4-6 hours of drinking, so I had a formula of the same shit every time so I didn’t have to worry about a dozen other variables, especially aggression. If people wanted to buy me more drinks, I’d decline. If I didn’t decline, I accepted that things could go off the rails (and my car would be abandoned, or I’d sleep in it)

Like with many drugs, there can be other factors that come into play. The same sort of arbitrary distinctions are made with kratom. All the strains technically do the same thing, they’re primarily different potencies, with different levels of the same alkaloids and whatnot, and people are still unsure what gold even is–maybe a combination of strains? If you down enough white, you will have pain relief and also probably nod off, like a lower dose of red could. It’s the same drugs at the end of the day.

That being said, if someone doesn’t react well to THC, there’s probably no amount of THC that will feel comfortable for them, so recommending it to them anyway is literally the opposite of harm reduction. Harm reduction is not imposing drug-using habits on people, and that’s why I can be aggro and unapologetic about making these statements that challenge people’s beliefs and make people upset. People take that as me stigmatizing drug use, but what I’m actually stitgmatizing is people’s shitty, unsolicited medical advice. I really hope y’all don’t attempt give out legal advice too on some shit you haven’t fully researched. .

P.S. Vodka is disgusting, though.
