Stonewall, Coopers Do-nuts, and Compton’s Cafeteria were all uprisings led by queer and trans sex workers.
But queer people who do sex work & use drugs have often been abandoned by the movement they created.
Queer people are and always have been leaders in the harm reduction movement. Still, harm reduction programs don’t always have services that are responsive to queer drug & sex cultures.
So how can both movements do better? This month, we’ll be exploring the intersections of queer liberation & harm reduction in hopes of providing some answers.
